In the 1930's, Luigi Distefano immigrated to America from Italy. Working for a local pottery manufacturer, he decided to open his own store after the war. In the 1950's, Luigi's son and his wife followed in his father's footsteps for over two decades. In 1987, Luigi's closed its doors temporarily for two years. However, in 1989, Gary McCallister and his father and mother, Lynn and Fay, Luigi's granddaughter, re-opened the establishment and Luigi's family tradition continued.
Today, Lynn, Fay and daughter, Lisa, actively run the store and help their customer's create gardens that compliment homes, gardens and offices.
SPECIAL FOUNTAIN AND STATUARY DESIGNS
After several years of working with his parents, Gary McCallister's own creativity came to life, and he began designing fountains and statuary under his own company's name, Luigi's Garden Art. Gary's fountains, statues, pots and benches are available at Luigi's.
